Kirby-Bauer Testing

Our laboratory utilizes both replica plating and traditional Kirby-Bauer techniques to evaluate both products for antimicrobial properties, but also bacterial isolates. We have partnered with local businesses to assess, products, and help in the development of antimicrobial agents. Additionally, we utilize these techniques to assess the overall antimicrobial resistance profile of bacterial isolates. Using these profiles we are able to help determine MAR indices for each isolate and track its source to avian or human sources.
