EML staff are investigating the state-wide inventory of nitrate and other well data in order to assist the DHFS in creating a meta database for use in epidemiological investigations in the future. We are collaborating with numerous local health Departments to assess what data they may have at the local level and how it can be integrated into the state-wide system. Additionally, we are looking at the usefullness of using Nitrates as an indicator of pesticide contamination.
